Harvey B. Johnson

Harvey B. Johnson, 90, of Wren, Ohio, passed away on Saturday morning, March 8, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana surrounded by his family.

He was born on January 25, 1935, in Sneedville, Hancock County, Tennessee to the late Chester and Gerthe (Trent) Johnson.

Harvey was united in marriage to Norma Lehman, and she preceded him in death on November 10, 1969.

He retired from Masolite Concrete Products after 27 years of service.

Harvey was an avid fan of Nascar Racing. In his later years, he grew stronger in his faith and shared his faith with others. He especially loved spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his spare time, he tinkered with cars, talked on his CB Radio, gardening, and would find a way back to his roots in Tennessee. Harvey was a Galley Restaurant fanatic.

Survivors include his son, Bobby (Annette) Johnson of Wren, Ohio; daughter, Elizabeth (Nicholas) McVittie of Fort Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Kristell (Jason) Dunn of Van Wert, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren, Nick (April) Johnson, Tyler (Tyler Leann) Johnson, Caleb (Kaylee) Johnson, Bobby Johnson, Michelle (Cole) Allison, Elyssa (Jullian) Moore, Shelbi Hess, Jaiden Johnson, Kailyn Johnson, Jordyn Jewell, Jaycee Kline, Cullen Dunn, and Kallee Dunn; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his two sons, Matthew and Jerry Johnson; his daughter, Michele Johnson; former wife, Jani Johnson; brother, Howard Johnson; and sister, Norma Gibson.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville, Indiana, with Pastor Bud Walls officiating. Burial will follow at Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville, Indiana, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Preferred memorials can be given to the family (Checks payable to Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home).
