Harriet M. Fuhrman

Harriet M. Fuhrman, 87, of New Haven, Indiana passed away January 23, 2022 at Adams – Woodcrest in Decatur, Indiana.

She was born February 25, 1934 to the late Carl C. Fuelling and the late Esther (Kukelhan) Fuelling.  Harriet was united in marriage to Lawrence Fuhrman on April 20, 1968 at the St. Peter Lutheran Church – Fuelling.

Harriet was a member of the Martini Lutheran Church in New Haven, Indiana.

She retired from General Electric in Decatur, Indiana.  Harriet enjoyed crocheting, square dancing and choir. While a member at St. Peter Lutheran Church – Fuelling, she taught Sunday school for 5 years.  She looked forward and enjoyed traveling through the United States with her family and cherished her annual GE trips.  Raising her family was important to her.  She made time for their various activities, both in school and in the church.

Survivors include her husband, Lawrence “Jerome” Fuhrman of New Haven, Indiana; grandson, Jerimiah (Juliann) Wylie of Woodburn, Indiana; grandson, Brandon (Rachel) Wylie of Fort Wayne, Indiana; sister, Vivian Thatcher of Willshire, Ohio; sister, Margene Fuelling of Decatur, Indiana; brother, Melvin “Bud” (Sharon) Fuelling of Decatur, Indiana; five great grandchildren, Taylor, Paige, Reese, Addlee and Laney.

She was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Fuhrman (infancy), two brothers, Rolland “Mickey” Fuelling and Eldon Fuelling; brother-in-law, Gene Thatcher.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2022 at St. Peter Lutheran Church-Fuelling with Pastor James Teasdale officiating.  Interment will follow in the St Peter Lutheran Church –Fuelling.

Friends and family will be received from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana and one hour prior to services Friday at St. Peter Lutheran – Fuelling .

The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the St Peter Lutheran Church – Fuelling and the Martini Lutheran Church, New Haven, Indiana .
