Gordon R. Cook, 86, of Berne, Indiana passed away Saturday morning, April 4, 2020, at his residence.
He was born on May 20, 1933 in Almont, Michigan to Morris and Helen (Behnke) Cook. He married Bonnie (Affolder) Milholland in 1994 and she preceded him in death on December 2, 2004.
Gordon graduated from Almont High School in Michigan and served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He attended Cross Community Church in Berne, Indiana.
He had worked at Key Fasteners in Berne, Indiana.
He is survived by a step-son, Greg (Marty) Milholland of Decatur; step-daughter-in-law, Vicki Milholland of Decatur; f our grandchildren, Kyle (Karen) Milholland of Decatur, Anne (Mo) Elhassnaoui of Fort Wayne, Erin (Vinnie) Espinosa of Indianapolis, & Vince Milholland of Decatur; and six great-grandchildren, Quentin Espinosa, Addie Espinosa, Wesley Milholland, Hallie Milholland, Conner Milholland and Ava Elhassnaoui.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a step-son, Allan Milholland; and a brother, Larry Cook.
Due to guidelines established by the State of Indiana in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, private family services will be held. Private burial was held at M.R.E. Cemetery of Berne, Indiana.
Preferred memorials are to Riley Children’s Hospital.
