Glenda (McClure) Hosier, 89, of Woodburn, Indiana passed away Monday, September 27, 2021, at her son’s residence.
She was born on October 1, 1931 in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late Clyde McClure and Ruth (Worden) McClure.
On April 8, 1950, Glenda was united in marriage to Charles “Chuck” Hosier in Decatur, Indiana and he preceded her in death on January 3, 2016.
Glenda retired from Central Soya in Fort Wayne in 1987 with 27 years of service. After retirement, she worked for a few years at Summit Mortgage in Fort Wayne.
She was involved in Central Soya Retired Ladies.
Glenda enjoyed sewing and flower design. She enjoyed caring for her cats.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry (Cathy) Hosier of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Michael Hosier of Woodburn, Indiana; three grandchildren, Shaun Buck, Amanda Jones, and Charles Zachary (Heather) Hosier; five great-grandchildren, Kierstyn Krouse, Gus Jones, Charli Hosier, Talon Hosier, Coral Jones.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Milo and Virgil McClure and a sister, Norma Bedwell.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 4, 2021 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur with Life Celebrant Molly Farthing officiating. Burial will take place at Decatur Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2021, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to the Allen County SPCA.
