Gerald F. Stauffer

Gerald F. Stauffer, 64, of Willshire, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, at his residence following a battle with cancer spanning the last 10 months.

He was born on October 16, 1958, in Titusville, Florida to the late Amos “Dean” Stauffer and Minnie Mae (Carlisle) Stauffer.

Gerald was united in marriage to Cheryl Graham on March 8, 2004, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He retired from Micromatic in Berne after 25 years of service.  Prior to his work at Micromatic, he was employed by NASA in Huntsville, Alabama and Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Gerald found enjoyment working in his yard and maintaining his property.  Watching sports including NASCAR along with the Ohio State Buckeye and Chicago Bear football teams.  Traveling to Las Vegas and also Cozumel with Cheryl were times of relaxation and provided great memories.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Stauffer of Willshire, Ohio; son, Dustin Stauffer of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida; daughter, Tiffany Stauffer of Merritt Island, Florida; son, Joshua Stauffer of Huntsville, Alabama; son, Zachary (Amanda) Stauffer of Convoy, Ohio; step-son; Christopher (Karina) Stumpf of Yuma, Arizona; five grandchildren, Summer Stauffer, Carl Stauffer, Maci Bash – Stauffer, Izzy Ross, and Lulu Ross; three brothers, Amos (Paulette) Stauffer of Willshire, Ohio, Terry Stauffer of Titusville, Florida, and Nat Stauffer of Willshire, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Shana Wright.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2023, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur with David “Snuffy” Smith officiating.

Friends and family will be received from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2023, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to the family for Nat (Checks payable to Cheryl Stauffer).
