Gerald T. “Jerry” Reuille, 80, of Monroeville, Indiana passed away Monday afternoon, January 4, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born on January 30, 1940 in Allen County, Indiana to Lawrence J. and Edna (Lamont) Reuille. He was united in marriage to Kay L. Shellenbarger on August 26, 1961 and she survives.
Jerry was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville.
He was employed at Phelps Dodge in Fort Wayne for 37 years, retiring in 2002.
Jerry loved to participate in auctions, flea markets, and visiting casinos. Back in the day, he also enjoyed camping and was part of the Monroeville Packers, a local camping club during that era.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Reuille of Monroeville, Indiana; three daughters, Rhonda K. (Kevin) Rumschlag of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Jeanette R. (Don) Gerardot Jr. of Convoy, Ohio, and Janet R. (Rob) Wenger of Monroeville, Indiana; brother, Steven Reuille of Fort Wayne, Indiana; sister, Cindi Reuille of Fort Wayne, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Nichole Moehring, Austin Wenger, Nathan (Jessica) Rhymer, Spencer Gerardot, Lance Wenger, Logan Wenger, and Preston Gerardot; nine great-grandchildren, Lexi Rhymer, Levi Lautzenheiser, Peyton Rhymer, Liam Lautzenheiser, Carson Wenger, Hunter Holman, Easton Moehring, Isaac Wenger, and Wyatt Wenger; and six step-grandchildren, Dylan Moehring, Brittany Moehring, Alexis Moehring, Mason Castor, Lacy Castor, and Calli Castor.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, James, Thomas, Allen and Roger Reuille; and a sister, Dorothy Dice.
In response to the COVID 19 Pandemic, private services were held and following cremation, burial was held at Monroeville Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to Monroeville Fire Department or Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
