Gary Lee Woodall, 71, of Decatur, Indiana passed away Monday, May 27, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
He was born on December 22, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Jack Woodall and the late Emily Rose (Turner) Woodall.
He honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.
Gary was employed with several companies as Biomedical Engineer.
He was a master luthier where he made many different musical instruments. Gary enjoyed making telescopes and star gazing. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, sailing, metal detecting, and spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include his son, Matthew (Manda) Woodall of Decatur, Indiana; two daughters, Mellisa Hill of Indianapolis, Indiana and Jessica Woodall of Decatur, Indiana; brother, Terry (Linda) Woodall of Cross Plains, Indiana; sister, Kathy Van Arsdale of St. Francis, Kansas; sister, Dianna Woodall of Hawaii; brother, Jack Woodall of Iowa; and four grandsons, Ethan Woodall, Bryan Hill, Keeler Handshoe, and Zyon Woodall.
Gary was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Nava; and his grandmother, Helen Wilson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
