Eula "Frances" Bowman

Eula “Frances” Bowman, 84, of Decatur, Indiana passed away Tuesday evening, April 6, 2021, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Frances was born April 6, 1937 in Morgan County, Kentucky to the late Coy Doolin and the late Mary (Cantrell) Doolin.

She is survived by her  five children, Maxine (Ron) Everett of Decatur, Indiana,  Ron (Namjai) Gallogly of Decatur, Indiana; Deb Schwartz of Greenwood, Indiana, Barb Wilson of Ormond Beach, Florida, and Heidi Bowman of Berne, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Craig Sweat, Ronnie (Jill) Everett, Randy Everett, Josh (Elizabeth) Everett, Kacie (David) Schultz, Corey (Abby) Schwartz, Blake Bowman, Kirsten Brown, and Chance Lehman; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Survived by her sisters, Maxine Shawver, Dolly (Hearl) Gambill, Jean (Bob). Hinkledire, Paggy (Robert) Miller, Linda (David) Tonnellier, Lorine Blanchard, Barb Caldwell and brother, Billy Doolin and  a brother-in-law, Russell Brooks.

Frances was preceded in death by sisters, Gladys Bauman, Chlorine Hough, Shirley Bjerke, Bertha Roberts, Patty Brooks and brother, Albertis Doolin.

Frances was a bartender at Victory Bar in Decatur and later became a homemaker. She spent her time baking, which she very much enjoyed sharing with others, and she also loved gardening, walking, riding her bicycle, and talking to everyone.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana.

Friends and family will be received from 10:30 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service Saturday, at the funeral home.

She was a member of Decatur Baptist Church, therefor; preferred memorials are to Decatur Baptist Church.
