Elsie M. Affolder, 96, Berne passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at her home. She was born on March 1, 1922 in Adams County to John J. and Eltie Rose Habegger. She married Edwin "Jack" Affolder on June 28, 1941.
Elsie was a faithful member of the West Missionary Church and a prayer warrior. She was employed at The Winner House, Nussbaum Novelty, and later CTS Corp. She enjoyed reading, gardening, caring for her flowers, & traveling. Elsie especially loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include 2 daughters; Ronda(Roy)Thornton of Berne, Brenda(Max)Hawkins of Bluffton, daughter-in-law, Mary Affolder Raudenbush of Berne. 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.
Preceding in death are; her parents, husband, Jack Affolder(July 9, 1993), son, John Affolder(May 16, 1994), sisters; Marjorie Daugherty, twin sister, Edith Miller, brothers; Ralph and Howard Habegger, grandson, Todd Affolder(July 12, 1993) ,and infant grand daughter, Sonnia Affolder.
Funeral services on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm with visitation from 11:00 am to time of services at the West Missionary Church. Pastor Keith Rupp. Burial at the Springhill Cemetery, rural Berne.
