Elizabeth T. Schwartz

Elizabeth T. Schwartz, 75, of Berne, Indiana passed away Friday morning, January 27, 2023, at her residence.

She was born on December 8, 1947, in Monroe, Indiana to the late Christian M. Schwartz and the late Susan W. (Schwartz) Schwartz. Elizabeth was united in marriage to Ernest K. Schwartz.

Elizabeth was a member of the Old Order Amish.

She served her family faithfully as a homemaker.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Ernest K. Schwartz of Berne, Indiana; son, Christian C. (Emma R.) Schwartz of Berne, Indiana; daughter, Susan C. Schwartz of Berne, Indiana; son, Ernest C. (Ida E.) Schwartz of Berne, Indiana; brother, Jacob T. (Rosa B.) Schwartz of Monroe, Indiana; brother, Dan T. (Delilah D.) Schwartz of Berne, Indiana; brother, Amos T. (Maryann R.) Schwartz of Berne, Indiana; brother, Christy T. Schwartz of Berne, Indiana; brother, Sam T. (Lizzie R.) Schwartz of Berne, Indiana; sister, Josephine T. (Ben C.) Christner of Bedford, Indiana; sister, Rebecca T. (Enos C.) Christner of Bryant, Indiana; sister, Mary T. (Harvey C.) Christner of Breckenridge, Kentucky; sister, Susan T. (Mose Q.) Schwartz of Licking, Missouri; sister, Barbara T. (Daniel E.) Schwartz of Licking Missouri; 26 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel C. Schwartz; step-mother, Katie (Wengard) Schwartz; twin great-grandsons, Marvin E.L., and Marlin E.L. Schwartz; three sisters, Margaret T. Schwartz, Katie T. Schwartz, and Lovina T. Miller; three brothers, Joe T. Schwartz, Enos T. Schwartz, and Emanuel T. Schwartz.

A funeral service will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2023, at the Ernest K. Schwartz residence, 6807 South 300 East Berne, Indiana with Bishop Benjamin M. Girod. Burial will follow at Bunker Hill Cemetery in Geneva, Indiana.

Visitation will be held at the Ernest K. Schwartz residence from 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023, and from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2023.
