Doyle R. "Dinky" Miller

February 11, 1958 — April 9, 2021

Doyle R. “Dinky” Miller, 63, of Bryant, Indiana passed away Friday, April 9, 2021, at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.

He was born on February 11, 1958 in Winchester, Tennessee to the late Horton Miller and late Velma Grace (Clark) Miller.  He married Annabelle Bollinger on December 10, 2001 in Portland, Indiana.

Doyle was a member of Fort Recovery Nazarene Church in Fort Recovery, Ohio.

He retired from Silberline in Decatur, Indiana with over 42 years of service.

Doyle enjoyed rooting for his grandchildren at the South Adams Starfires football games and watching his granddaughter play percussion in the marching band.  He also enjoyed working on cars and trying his chance at lottery tickets.  Doyle was a self-taught guitar player and each year he would travel to Tennessee to spend time with his family and play music. Doyle never met a stranger and he was always helping people and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.  He was ornery and liked to tease and aggravate people. Doyle loved his family and spending time with all of them.  He was looking forward to meeting his new great-grandson, Silas.  He was very loved by his friends and family.

He is survived by wife, Annabelle Miller of Bryant, Indiana; son, Jamie (Lisa) Miller of Geneva, Indiana; daughter, Amy (Jason Gorney) Miller of Berne, Indiana;  step-daughter, Carrie (John) Fairchild of Portland, Indiana; step-daughter,Wendy (Chris) Ellenberger of Marysville, Tennessee; sister, Linda (Howard) Elliott of Winchester, Tennessee; brother, Robert (Paggy) Miller of Hartford City, Indiana; brother, Wayne (Faye) Miller of Cowan, Tennessee; sister, Debbie (Mark) Hall of Cowan, Tennessee; sister, Janet (Thomas) Harding of Cowan, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Amber Spaw, Kaitlyn (Dylon) Anderson, Taylor Miller-Gorney, Austin Gorney, and Alex Gorney; eight step-grandchildren, Catelynn Fairchild, Austin Fairchild, Mackynzie Fairchild, Cheyenne Ellenberger, Sierra Ellenberger, Colton Ellenberger, Madison Ellenberger, and Brittany Ellenberger; one great-grandchild, Silas Gorney and one expected in fall of 2021, Felix; seven step-great-grandchildren, Alivia Peralez, Layla Peralez, Carmelo Peralez, Jovani Peralez, Aria Peralez, Vincent Fairchild, and  Emerysn Brenner.

Preceded in death by a step-grandchild, Peyton Bollinger, brothers, Billy Eugene Miller and Larry Ray Miller

Friends and family will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2021, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana. Burial will take place at a later date at Watson North Cemetery in Winchester, Tennessee.

Preferred memorials are to the family (checks payable to Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home).
