Douglas W. Castle

Douglas W. Castle, 64, of Monroeville, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was born on January 10, 1960, in Decatur, Indiana to Harold and Patricia J. (Love) Castle.

Doug retired from Parker Hannifin in 2009.

Doug was the largest Purdue and Dallas Cowboys fan, rarely missing any games.  He loved cruising on his Purdue golf cart.  Doug was so proud of his grandkids, and loved spending time with Larry and Sydney.  His orneriness will be missed.

Survivors include his son, Adam (Ashley) Stephenson of Monroeville, Indiana; Fiancé, Leeann Stemen of Monroeville, Indiana; four sisters, Cathy (Jeff) DeKoninck, Cindy (Joe) Schmidt, Caren Hankins, and Carla (Rick) Messman all of Monroeville, Indiana; two brothers, Dave (Denise) Castle and Dan (Michelle) Castle both of Monroeville, Indiana; grandchildren, Sydney and Larry Stephenson; and beloved dogs, Ellie Lou and Coco Puff.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Dan Hankins.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville with Pastor Todd Buckmaster officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana.

Preferred memorials are to the family, checks made payable to Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home.

Arrangements are by the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana
