Dorothy J. Muldoon, 87, of Monroeville, Indiana passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021, surrounded by her family.
She was born on June 19, 1934 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Amuel Barclay and late Lillian (Gerardot) Barclay.
Dorothy married David J. Muldoon on April 11, 1953 at St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon and he preceded her in death on April 29, 2005.
She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon in New Haven, Indiana. Dorothy volunteered at the food bank at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel and also at Adams Heritage.
Dorothy was a graduate of Hoagland High School and was a homemaker.
She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family and friends.
Dorothy is survived by daughter, Diane J. (Greg) Small of Monroeville, Indiana; daughter, Denise J. (Jay) Wagner of Fort Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Danette J. Emerick of Hoagland, Indiana; son, Dean J. (Laura) Muldoon of Maples, Indiana; daughter, Devonna J. (Ron) Davis of New Haven, Indiana; son, Don J. Muldoon of Maples, Indiana; daughter, Donita J. (Brian) Yates of Maples, Indiana; son, Darrell J. (Melissa) Muldoon of Monroeville, Indiana; four sisters, Carol Arend of New Haven, Indiana, Gloria (Melvin) Vachon of New Haven, Indiana, Judy (Larry) Messman of Monroeville, Indiana; Monica (John) Nott of Maples, Indiana; 24 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by two sons, Denny J. & Douglas J. Muldoon; a grandson, Chad Muldoon; two sisters, Donna J. Nichter & Betty Pequignot; and a brother, Neil Barclay.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon with Father Louis Fowoyo officiating. Burial will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Besancon.
Friends and family will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2021, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home – Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville with one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday at the church.
The Holy Rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to Masses, Heartland Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
