Donna L. Martin

Donna L. Martin, 88, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Park Place Senior Living in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was born on February 17, 1935 in Van Wert County, Ohio to the late Willis K. Feasby and the late Myrtle M. (Baker) Feasby.

Donna was united in marriage to Leo W. Martin on June 27, 1953 and he survives.

She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville, where she faithfully served on the Ladies Guild at the church.

Donna faithfully served her family as a homemaker. She was fondly known as the “Toy Lady” at Belmont Five and Dime Store in New Haven.  She also worked in the office at the Monroeville Box and Pallet.  She was a longtime volunteer at the St. Rose Catholic School.

Donna was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family and cherished that role.  Leo and Donna were fixtures in square dancing as they both greatly enjoyed weddings and other gatherings.

Survivors include her husband, Leo W. Martin of Fort Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Patricia J. (Kevin) Ryan of Columbia City, Indiana; daughter, Karen I. (Larry) Baumert of Monroeville, Indiana; sister-in-law, Sharon Feasby of Decatur, Indiana; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dale E. Martin; five brothers, Paul, Harold, John, Wayne, and Jerry Feasby; and two sisters, Opal Marquardt and Cleotha Hart.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2023 at St. Rose Catholic Church, Monroeville, with Father Dennis DiBenedetto officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Rose Catholic Church Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville.

The Holy Rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to calling.

Preferred memorials can be given to Masses; St. Rose Catholic School; Monroeville Fire Department; or Four Presidents Corner Historical Society.
