Donna L. Luginbill

February 27, 1943 — June 1, 2023

Donna Luginbill, 80, of Decatur, Indiana passed away Thursday morning, June 1, 2023, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Hospital in Lima, Ohio after an extended illness.

She was born in Highland Park, Michigan on February 27, 1943, to the late Robert William Dedolph and the late Dorothy Maxine (Stritmatter) Dedolph. She was united in marriage to Francis Edward Luginbill Jr. in 1960, who preceded her in death in 2001.

Donna was a member of The Bridge Community Church in Decatur, Indiana. She graduated from Decatur High School.  She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker.  Later in life, she was a waitress at Becky’s Village Restaurant in Willshire, Ohio where she enjoyed customers and conversing with all the farmers.

Donna loved God with all her heart and wanted everyone to have a relationship with Jesus! And she was a mighty prayer warrior! Donna’s love for her family was her greatest joy! She truly believed her family was God’s greatest gift!  She loved to laugh and to make others laugh!  She treasured the simple, yet beautiful things, such as watching the finches on her birdfeeders, and the wrens build their nest in the tiny birdhouse hung outside her bedroom window, finding a caterpillar and watching it turn into a butterfly and letting the grandchildren release it!  She also loved playing board games with family, a good cup of coffee with a sweet treat, luncheons with high school girlfriends, listening to music and turning it into a dance party, keeping up with family and friends on Facebook, and sharing meaningful moments or quotes she would see.  Donna fully enjoyed life!

She is survived by her daughters, Leesa Huston, Lori (Stuart) Smith and Tina Fourman all of Decatur, Indiana; sister, Lynette (Kevin) Strukamp of Decatur, Indiana; four grandsons, Anthony (Brandy) Fennig, Brandon (Mikala) Fourman, Josh (Whittney) Smith and Kyle (fiancé Avree) Fourman; granddaughters, Ashley (Joe) Williams, Megan (Jared) Parrish, Macy Smith, and ten great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Brooklyn, Parker, Greyson, Lynlee, Selah, Wyatt, Rylee, Makinzee and Preslee. Donna was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Martin.
