Donald L. Blume, 68, of Decatur, Indiana passed away Friday, February 4, 2022, at his residence.
He was born on January 7, 1954, in Decatur, Indiana to the late Jesse D. Blume and the late Irene (Bloemker) Blume. Donald was united in marriage to Sandra Plasterer on March 17, 1973, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Decatur.

He graduated from Bellmont High School Class of 1972. He worked at Phelps Dodge and then REA Magnet Wire in New Haven from 1973 until his retirement in 2017. In his younger years he worked on the family farm.
Don loved his wife, his high school sweetheart, daughters and sons-in-law, and grandchildren… they were his life! The most important thing to Don was his love for the Lord. After retirement Don picked up many hobbies. He enjoyed golfing, playing basketball with his grandchildren, trap shooting, target shooting, archery, photography, and playing his guitar and trumpet. Don rebuilt his 1955 Chevy wagon and showed it at car shows. He also enjoyed telling jokes. Don was the “go to man” in a lot of his families lives.
