Dianne L. Beer, 71, of Berne, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Baptist Nassau Hospital in Fernandina, Florida. Her death was unexpected and occurred while vacationing with her husband and friends.
She was born on August 27, 1950 in Decatur, Indiana to the late Charles Bransteter and the late Bernice (Mathys) Bransteter. Dianne was united in marriage to Randy Beer on October 25, 1975 in Geneva, Indiana.
Dianne worked for 45 years at the Bank of Geneva and retired 7 years ago.
She was a member of the Ad Board at the First United Methodist Church of Geneva where she also served as the co-director for the food pantry. She was also a member of the Wabash Valley Golf course and the Cinema Center in Fort Wayne.
Dianne was an avid reader who loved movies, the arts and theater. She enjoyed winning at cards and would not tolerate cheaters! She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach. She loved laughing being social and entertaining guests. She was passionate about spending time with her friends and family.
Survivors include her husband Randy L. Beer of Berne, IN; a daughter, Jennifer (Noble) Zimmerman of Santa Fe, TX; two sons, Zachary (Jessica Cohen) Beer of Granada Hills, CA and Seth Beer of New York City, NY; brother, Marvin (Judy) Bransteter of Fort Wayne, IN; sister, Sandy Whittington of Portland, IN; sister, Sharon (Jim) Parks of Fort Wayne, IN; brother, Ron (Dort) Bransteter of Monroe, IN; sister, Marcia (Neal) Rich of Berne, IN; sister, Kathy Rhoades-Wright of Fort Wayne, IN; sister, Annette (Mark) Klopp of Berne, IN; nine grandchildren, Lane Beer, Evelyn Zimmerman, Meyer Beer, Baby Zimmerman due in January, Chelsea (Drew) Maresh, William Zimmerman, Stephanie (Brandon Fleming) Zirulnikoff, Brandon Zirulnikoff; and two great grandchildren, Grace Maresh and Iker Maresh.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church in Geneva with Rev. Roy Nevil officiating. Due to immune compromised individuals within the family, face masks are required for visitation and funeral services for those that are not vaccinated.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchoffer Chapel in Berne.
Preferred Memorials are to The Lord’s Table food pantry payable to the First United Methodist Church of Geneva.
