Dianna R. Ehlerding

Dianna R. Ehlerding, 75, of Decatur, Indiana passed away Thursday evening, October 17, 2024, at Adams Memorial Hospital.

Dianna was born on March 6, 1949 in Kentucky to Boyd Harrison and Emma L. (Mullins) Lacatis.

She was united in marriage to Frederick “Duane” Ehlerding on May 21, 1992.

Dianna was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble and was employed at HR Block in Decatur for 21 years.

She enjoyed her grandkids and great- grandkids. She also enjoyed gardening and woodworking.

She is survived by her husband 32 years, Duane Ehlerding of Decatur, Indiana; two sons, Tony (Judith) Grantham of Caseyville, Illinois and Mark Grantham of Decatur, Indiana; five sisters, Donna (Larry) Bender of Convoy, Ohio, Doris Harrison of Decatur, Indiana, Deborah (Douglas) Schmit of Geneva, Indiana, Dolores “Lory” (Garry) Wilson of Decatur, Indiana, and Denise (Doug) Beahrs of Decatur, Indiana.  She is also survived by Duane’s siblings, Nan McIntyre of Decatur, Indiana, Jayne (Ike) Longsworth of Rockford, Ohio, and Lisa (Chris) Westergren of Decatur, Indiana; Bob (Jeni) Robinson of Decatur, Indiana, Mike McIntyre of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Troy (Anthony Spears) Robinson of Texas; six grandchildren, Cody Grantham, Kaitlyn Black, Colton Grantham, Anthony Akridge,  Ashlynn Dedmom and Ariyanah Williams; five great-grandchildren, Juniper Duke, August Grantham, Harper Black, Maverick Black, Nyah Akridge; and baby Liam arriving soon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, George Lacatis; sister, Dawn Thomas; niece, Terra Beahrs; Duane’s brother, Gerald Ehlerding; and two of Duane’s step-brothers, Tim & Denny Robinson.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble with Pastor Andrew Yeager officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Preble.

Family and friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

Preferred memorials are to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble, and Adams County Cancer Coalition.
