Curtis E. Lynch

Curtis E. Lynch, 83, of Woodburn, Indiana passed away on Friday morning, August 14, 2020, at his residence.

He was born on December 29, 1936, in Marvell, Arkansas to the late William J. Lynch and the late Katherine E. (George) Lynch. He married Annie M. Lamaison on November 10, 1956, in Soulac-sur-Mer, France and she preceded him in death on January 5, 2015.

Curtis was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army, serving during peacetime.

He was a member of the Teamsters Local #414 in Ft. Wayne.

Curtis was employed at Kenosha Auto Transport in Ft. Wayne and Springfield, Ohio as a transportation genius for 38 years, retiring in 1995. Following his retirement, he consulted for Active USA, Inc.

He enjoyed being with his family and watching their development. He also liked photography, gardening, woodworking, and whatever suited him that day.

Curtis is survived by a son, Edward (Coleen) Lynch of Manhattan, Illinois; son, Gene (Lisa) Lynch of Wolcottville, Indiana; daughter, Catherine (Jerry) Trowbridge of Angola, Indiana; daughter, Annette (Brian) Combs of North Lewisburg, Ohio; brother, Waymond Lynch of Pacifica, California; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five sisters: Virginia Dockery, Dorothy Watts, Betty Bass, Josie Bland, and Myrtis Miller; three Brothers: Alton Lynch, Leland Lynch, and Howard Lynch.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2020, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home – Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville with visitation one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Leo Cemetery in Leo, Indiana.

Preferred memorials can be made to Alzheimer’s Research or Heartland Hospice.
