Christina A. Chapman

Christina A. Chapman, 47, of Andrews, Indiana passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019, at her residence. Her death was unexpected and was of apparent natural causes.

She was born on April 18, 1972, in Augsburg, Germany the daughter of Cal Alan Peterson and Renate (Warnstadt) Peterson. Christina was united in marriage to Harlen “H” Chapman on April 4, 2003, in Indianapolis, Indiana and he survives.

Christina was an LPN, being employed by Ft. Wayne Neurological Center for 26 years.

Christina greatly enjoyed her family. She was very fond of taking pictures…at every opportunity. Around the house, she was an active gardener and interior decorator with her favorite season of the year being Christmas. She was also a devoted supporter of her daughter’s events in life.

Survivors include her husband Harlen “H” Chapman of Andrews, Indiana; daughter, Madison Klender of Andrews, Indiana; parents, Cal and Renate Peterson of New Haven, Indiana; brother, Matthew (Cathie) Peterson of Craigville, Indiana; maternal grandmother, Else Warnstadt of New Haven, Indiana; three nephews and one niece.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Cal and Magdelene Peterson.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2019, at the Harper Community Funeral Home, 740 State Road 960 E. New Haven, Indiana with Pastor Harold Klinker officiating.

Friends will be received from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2019, at the Harper Community Funeral Home in New Haven, Indiana and visitation one hour prior to services at the Harper Community Funeral Home in New Haven, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, Christina’s family would ask that preferred memorials be directed to the Madison Klender Education Fund (checks payable to Harlen Chapman).

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Zwick & Jah Funeral Homes in Decatur, Indiana.
