Charles Hartman, Jr., 95, of Monroeville, Indiana passed away Monday evening, May 18, 2020, at Parkview Randallia in Fort Wayne.
He was born on February 23, 1925 in Waynedale, Indiana to Charles Hartman, Sr. and Erma May (Sickafus) Hartman. He married Julia A. Emenhiser on April 5, 1947 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Monroeville and she preceded him in death on July 16, 2018.
Charles was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Monroeville.
He was owner and operator of Charles Plumbing & Heating since 1951.
He is survived by two nieces, Gae Andrews of Tucson, Arizona and Anna (Michael) Pruden of Monroeville, Indiana and nephew, Michael (Pam) Grabner of Monroeville, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, David Hartman; brother, Robert Hartman; and sister, Irene Grabner.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2020, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville with Pastor Brian Clay officiating. Burial will follow at Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received for one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to the donor’s choice.
