Catherine A. Nussbaum

Catherine Anna (Wulliman) Nussbaum, age 95, went home to be with the Lord on January 13, 2021 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  She was born on April 4, 1925 to Pauline and Mennis Wulliman and was the youngest of eight children. All of her brothers and sisters have preceded her in death.

Catherine married Kenyon Clair Nussbaum on July 30, 1944 and they were married for 61 years.  She was preceded in death by her husband on January 9, 2006.

They were faithful members of the First Mennonite Church in Berne, Indiana.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Friends and family who knew her will remember her for her loving and generous heart.  She lived a long, faithful life serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Catherine loved playing the piano during her years at the First Mennonite Church and cherished the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her children Ronald (Elizabeth) Nussbaum of Angola, Indiana and Susan (John) Rayls of Crossville, Tennessee.  She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Joshua Rayls of Cookeville, Tennessee; Matthew (Missy) Rayls of McKinney, Texas; Kristin (Garrett) Hibiske of Mooresville, North Carolina; John (Emily) Nussbaum of Fort Wayne; Lora (Chris) Miner of Leo, Indiana; Leanne (Ward) Hamlet of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Emily (Jesse) Carmody of Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Catherine had 19 great-grandchildren.

Because of COVID-19, the family has planned a private funeral service at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home in Berne, Indiana. A celebration of Catherine’s life will be announced at a later date.
