Carol L. Zimmerman

Carol L. Zimmerman, 80, of Van Wert, Ohio passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Van Wert Manor, Van Wert, Ohio.

She was born on November 29, 1943, in Robinson, Illinois to the late William F. Graham and the late Lois Maxine (Foust) Girod. Carol was united in marriage to Floyd L. Zimmerman on June 1, 1962, and he preceded her in death on November 17, 1988.

Carol graduated from Pleasant Mills High School class of 1962. She attended Victory Church of God in Van Wert, Ohio.

She faithfully served her family as a homemaker, and was employed at CTS in Berne for 10 years. Retiring in 1988.

Carol enjoyed crocheting and crafts. She enjoyed music from her younger years; especially, Elvis Presley.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa (Larry) Moser of Wren. Ohio; daughter, Michelle Zimmerman of Celina, Ohio;​son, Seth Zimmerman​ of Celina, Ohio; step-sister, Marlene Schaffner of Willshire, Ohio; sister-in-law, Patsy Storck of Fort Wayne, Indiana; cousin, Margaret Littlejohn, of Illinois; seven grandchildren, Amanda (Daniel) Stevens, Andrew Moser, Skye (Samantha) Shaneyfelt, Zebadiah and Aleah Breyfogle, and Olivia & Bryce Zimmerman; one great-grandchild, Sebastian Shaneyfelt; three nephews, Kelly Schaffner, Brian Schaffner, DeWayne Zimmerman; and two nieces, Myra Schaffner and Krissa Jackson.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana with Pastor Carol Tumbleson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Dale Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Preferred memorials can be given to CHP Home Health and Hospice in Van Wert
