Bonita S. Hoffman

Bonita S. “Bonnie” Hoffman, 79, Hoagland, Indiana passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Parkview Randallia Hospital.

She was born on February 26, 1944, in Decatur, Indiana to the late Louis F. and Olga L. (Koenemann) Krueckeberg.

Bonita was united in marriage to Arlo G. “Butch” Hoffman on November 8, 1963 in Decatur, Indiana.  He preceded her in death on February 23, 1999.

She was a member of Antioch Lutheran Church in Hoagland, Indiana and was a member of the American Legion Post #420 Auxiliary in Monroeville, Indiana.

Bonnie was a bartender for 34 years at Maples Inn and previously worked at First State Bank in Decatur for over 25 years.

She enjoyed gardening, flowers and spending time with her family.

Bonnie is survived by daughter, Shawn Norris of Monroeville, Indiana; son, Todd (Jeanett) Hoffman of Monroeville, Indiana; son, Shane (Julia) Hoffman of Fort Wayne, Indiana; five sisters, Patricia Post of Wren, Ohio, Nancy Edelen of Monroeville, Indiana, Rita (Roger) Poitras of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Janelle (Mike) Davis of Decatur, Indiana, Rebecca (Allen) Barker of Wabash, Indiana, six grandchildren, Angela (Andrew) Giese, Tara Scheumann, Shannon Scheumann, Anna Hoffman, Brooke Hoffman, and Mischa Hoffman.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Richard Norris on February 15, 2019.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville with Pastor Fred Meuter officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.

Friends and family will be received from 2-7 p.m.  on Friday, March 3, 2023, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville, Indiana and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to Worship Anew, Antioch Lutheran Church or American Legion Auxiliary Post #420.
