Beverly Sue Hill

Beverly Sue Hill, 84, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022, at her residence.

She was born on January 27, 1938, in Adams County, Indiana to the late Frank D. and Gertrude “Peach” (Davis) Fortney. Sue was united in marriage to Ronald D. Hill on July 13, 1957, in Decatur, Indiana.

Sue was a member of First United Methodist Church in Decatur. She graduated from Pleasant Mills High School in 1956 and was a homemaker.

She enjoyed spending time with her family; especially, her grandchildren.

Sue is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ronald D. Hill of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Denise (Barry) Scherer of Monroeville, Indiana; daughter, Debbi (Craig) Foor of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Donna (Bob) Barger of Decatur, Indiana; sister, Rowena (Eldon) Miller of Portland, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Brandon (Katie) Scherer, Nathan (Liz) Scherer, Courtney (Matt) Taylor, Brent (Naomi) Foor, Kylie (Tyler) Cress, Devan (Eric) Isch and MaKenzie Barger; eleven great-grandchildren, Hannah, Maverick, and  Hadley Scherer, Walker and Lainey Scherer, Wyatt and Aria Foor, Easton Sauer, Conner and Bowen Cress, and Owen Isch.

She was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Erma and Kenny Funk.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2022, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur with Pastor Michelle Isch officiating. Burial will follow in Decatur Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials can be made to the Adams County 4-H.
