Barry L. Bradtmueller

Barry L. Bradtmueller, 61, of Hoagland, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at his residence following a brief  illness.

He was born on March 28, 1963, in Decatur, Indiana to the late Wilbert Bradtmueller and the late Marie (Witte) Bradtmueller. Barry was united in marriage to Cynthia Grote on April 14, 1987, in Cumberland County Tennessee.

He graduated from Heritage High School class of 1981. Barry was a member of St. John Lutheran Church- Bingen and a member of the Hoagland Area Advancement Association (HAAA).

He was employed at Penske Leasing in Fort Wayne for 25 plus years as a body shop technician.

Barry enjoyed the outdoors, which included hunting, fishing, golf, and gardening. Where ever there were good friends you could find Barry… He enjoyed socializing at 9 mile and Maples. Barry also loved playing pedro.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Bradtmueller of Hoagland, Indiana; son, Jason Bradtmueller of Fort Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Rachel Bradtmueller of Hoagland, Indiana; three brothers, Terry (Arlene Hoover) Bradtmueller of Canton, North Carolina, Jeff (Sherril) Bradtmueller of Hoagland, Indiana, and Kurt (Terri) Bradtmueller of Ossian, Indiana.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Kevin “Hoss” Bradtmueller.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2024 at St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen, Decatur, Indiana with Pastor Peter Brock and Pastor Berett Steffen officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery- Bingen.

Family and friends will be received from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.

Preferred memorials can be given to St. John Lutheran- Bingen Parking Lot Fund.
