Anna E. Schwartz, 81, of Monroe, Indiana passed away Monday afternoon, June 19, 2023, at her residence.
She was born on Tuesday, March 24, 1942, in Decatur, Indiana the first-born child of the late Peter A. Schwartz and the late Elizabeth M. (Schwartz) Schwartz.
Anna was a member of the Old Order Amish and a devoted homemaker.
She is survived by four brothers, Peter E. (Josephine) Schwartz of Geneva, Indiana, Amos E. (Maryann) Schwartz of Geneva, Indiana; Emanuel E. (Emma) Schwartz of Monroe, Indiana, Daniel E. (Mary) Schwartz of Berne, Indiana; seven sisters, Maggie E. (Levi) Schwartz of Monroe, Indiana, Josephine E. (Noah) of Monroe, Indiana, Katie E. (Eli) Weaver of Bluffton, Indiana; Salome E. (Melvin) Schwartz of Monroe, Indiana, Barbara E. Schwartz of Geneva, Indiana, Fannie E. (Willie) Schwartz of Monroe, Indiana, Rosie E. (Samuel) Schwartz of Monroe, Indiana; one brother-in-law, Peter A. Schwartz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Anna was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Jake and Lydia Schwartz; a sister, Elizabeth E. Schwartz; and one brother-in-law, Nathaniel M. Schwartz.
A funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2023, at the Pete J. Schwartz residence, 1333 South 100 East Monroe, Indiana with Bishop Joe J.E. Schwartz officiating. Burial will follow at Winchester Cemetery in rural Monroe, Indiana.
Visitation will be held at the Pete J. Schwartz residence from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2023, and from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
