Ann T. Tussing, 81, of Monroeville, Indiana passed away Friday, February 10, 2023, at her residence.
She was born on March 20, 1941, in Deshler, Ohio to James and Hildegard (Meyer) Romaker. Ann was united in marriage to Verne Tussing on March 27, 1959, in Watseka, Illinois and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2020, after 61 years of marriage.
She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Convoy, Ohio.
Ann faithfully served her family as a homemaker.
Ann loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was very creative and participated in many craft shows in the local area. She was known for her crafts, quilting, seamstress work, cooking, and baking pies. Ann loved bird watching, reading, and working in her flower gardens.
Survivors include daughter, Lydia Vetter of Woodburn, Indiana; son, David (Megan Shank) Tussing of New Haven, Indiana; son, Vincent (Jane) Tussing of Convoy, Ohio; daughter, Julie Nagy of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; son-in-law, Jerry (Teena) Castleman of Monroeville, Indiana; two brothers, Howard (Ruth) Romaker of New Carlisle, Ohio and John (Marilyn) Romaker of Bellingham, Washington; two sisters, Michele (Randy) Ammons of Findlay, Ohio and Lisa (Shawn) Kennedy of Bowling Green, Ohio; brother-in-law, John (Alice) Tussing of Deshler, Ohio; 17 grandchildren, Nicholas (Amanda) Vetter, Elizabeth (Troy) Hileman, Megan (Michael) Crouse, Amanda (Jake) Penner, Emily (Jake) Wilson, Dustin (Chloe) Vetter, Elise (Harrison) Sheldon, Brianna (Jake) Meyers, Hannah Castleman, Joshua Nagy, Ben Castleman, Anthony Nagy, Claire Castleman, Andrea Tussing, Daniel Tussing, Isaac Nagy, and Olivia Nagy; and 14 great-grandchildren, and one on the way.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Linda L. Castleman in 2007; son-in-law, Dennis Vetter in 2008; and great-grandchild, Adam Crouse in 2012.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, in Monroeville, Indiana. Burial will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery
Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the 2:00 p.m. service on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Convoy, Ohio.
