Anita J. Kahn

Anita J. Kahn, 66, of Ossian, passed away on August 13, 2021 at DuPont Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was born on January 24, 1955 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of the late Jerome C. “Jerry” Miller and the late Olive M (Zurbrugg) Miller. Anita was united in marriage to Terry D. Kahn on February 14, 1976.

Anita was employed by Thunderbird Boats in production until 2008, then as a cook at the Ossian Elementary School where she retired in May 2019.

She was a member of the Decatur Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school.

Survivors include her husband, Terry D. Kahn of Ossian, Indiana; son, Tracy (Lisa) Kahn, Ossian, Indiana; son, Erick Kahn, Uniondale, Indiana; son, Kerry (Cassie) Kahn, Bryant, Indiana; six grandchildren, Makenzee, Hudson, Harper, Samantha, Olivia, and Sophia Kahn; sister, Theresa (Gary) Priddy of Convoy, Ohio; sister, Nina (Harry) Miller of Franklin, Indiana; and sister-in-law,  Ruth Ann Miller of Decatur, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth J. Miller; a niece, Mary Francis Miller; and a nephew, Jeremy Priddy.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur with Pastor Dal Fosnaugh officiating.   Interment will follow in the Prairie View Cemetery in Ossian, Indiana.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
