Andrew "Andy" R. Buuck

Andrew “Andy” Richard Buuck, 43, of Decatur, Indiana passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born on June 22, 1979, in Decatur, Indiana to Allen and Shirley (Boenker) Buuck.

Andy was a long-time member of Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim.

He graduated from Bellmont High School in 1997 and continued his education at Ball State University in Architecture and then went on to Purdue University to obtain an Associate Degree in Science and graduated on May 14, 2003. Andy was employed as a CAD designer at All American Homes until they closed, went to Schmucker Cabinet and then worked at REV/Fleetwood.

Andy loved building Lego’s, collected coins and shot glasses.

He is survived by his parents, Allen and Shirley Buuck of Decatur, Indiana; three brothers, James Buuck of Ossian, Indiana, Daniel Buuck and Michael (Elizabeth) Buuck both of Decatur, Indiana; two nieces, Lila and Margot Buuck and nephew, Griffin Buuck.

Andy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard & Margaret Buuck and maternal grandparents, Arthur & Alma Boenker.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim with Pastor Daniel Dahling officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Friedheim.

Friends and family will be received from 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.  on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

Preferred memorials are to Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim.

Arrangements are by the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana.
