Amy B. Peters

Amy B. Peters, 56, of Decatur, Indiana passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023 at Majestic Care in Connersville, Indiana.  She had been in failing health for many years following a lung infection.

She was born on December 15, 1966 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late Richard Eugene Daugherty and the late Jeananne (Blankenburg) Daugherty.

Amy was united in marriage to Daniel R. Peters on June 17, 1988 at St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen.

She graduated from Concordia High School Class of 1986, and was a member at St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen.

Amy was employed by Yes Its Sold for Jack Stepler.

Amy loved spending time with family and friends.  She was an avid Chicago Bears football fan, and enjoyed collecting all of the Bears memorabilia.

Survivors include her husband, Dan R. Peters of Decatur, Indiana; son, Cody R. Peters of Decatur, Indiana; sister, Michelle (Tom) Blomenberg of Decatur, Indiana; sister, Susie Coil of New Haven, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Amy will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023 at the St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen, with Pastor Berett Steffen and Pastor Peter Brock officiating.  Burial will follow at a later date at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Preferred memorials can be given to the family for medical expenses (checks payable to Dan Peters).

Arrangements are by the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur.
