Albert L. Andrews

Albert L. Andrews, 92, of Decatur, Indiana passed away Friday evening, November 4, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born on July 5, 1930, in Monroe, Indiana to the late Eli Andrews and Nellie (Wordon)

Andrews.

Albert served his country in the United States Army during the Korea era and was honorably discharged.

He was united in marriage to Minnie V. Myers on July 19, 1953, in Willshire, Ohio. She preceded him in death on June 28, 2019.

Albert was a member of Decatur Church of God in Decatur.

He was a bridge crane operator at Phelps Dodge. He retired in 1987 after 40 years.

Albert was a proud farmer and loved his Lord and Savior.

He is survived by son, Jerald (Colleen) Andrews of Decatur, Indiana; son, Roger (Julie) Andrews of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Jill (Kevin) Counterman of Willshire, Ohio; son, Steven Andrews of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Robin (David) Myers of Convoy, Ohio; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a grandson, Jason David Andrews; granddaughter-in-law, Renee Joy Andrews; brother, Rev. Paul Andrews; sister, Leah Zurcher; brother, Billy Bovine and sister, Evelyn Espich.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur with Pastor Sandra Hildebrand officiating. Military graveside service will be conducted by the American Legion Post Color Guard #43 at Decatur Cemetery.

Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.  on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur.

Preferred memorials are to Decatur Church of God – Military Bible Sticks.
