Deborah Nussbaum, 60, a resident of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away on Friday, December 10, 2010 at her home.
Debbie was born on April 7, 1950 in Decatur, Indiana the daughter of Calvin and Henrietta (Sprunger) Nussbaum, both deceased. She attended Park Street Baptist Church and worked as a Dental Assistant.
Debbie lived most of her life in Indianapolis, Indiana, recently moving to St. Petersburg. She graduated from South Adams High School where she was active in the drama club and was crowned Homecoming Queen in 1968. Deborah attended Indiana University and pursued her career choice of dentistry. She was a doting mother, loyal sister, and close friend to many. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, depth of character, and legendary wit.
Debbie is survived by a son, Mitchel McGough of Littleton, Colorado; a daughter, Audra Hedger of Plainfield, Indiana; a daughter, Cara Ferrin of St. Petersburg, Florida; a sister, Lynette Habegger of Fort Wayne, Indiana; a sister, Anita Marble of Berne, Indiana; a sister, Linda MacDonald of Plano, Texas; and grandchildren, Phoenix Gillispie, Cody Gillispie, and Chloe Hedger.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gary Nussbaum.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne with the Rev. Dan Jeffers officiating. Interment will be in the M.R.E. Cemetery of rural Berne.
Family and friends will be received from 9:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home.
