Eurayna L. Hicks, 60 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 10:54 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2007 in the Bluffton Regional Hospital located in Bluffton, Indiana. Eurayna was born on Thursday, October 10, 1946 in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of the late Lee R. Edwards and the late Wilma Marilyn (Yada) Edwards. She married Lawrence W. Hicks on January 21, 1971 in Ventura, California and he survives. Eurayna was a homemaker and had also done care giving at many hospitals, starting in California and most recently with the Adams County Council On Aging. Surviving are her husband, Lawrence W. Hicks of Decatur, Indiana, son, Jeffrey W. (Kathy) Masoner of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, son, Kenneth L. (Tiffiany L.) Masoner of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, brother, Ronald R. Edwards of Decatur, Indiana, brother, Dennis L. Edwards, Arkansas, five grandchildren: Tricia L. Masoner, Ryan M. Masoner, Ashley R. Masoner, Dylan J. Masoner, Autumn N. Masoner; two step-grandchildren: Christopher D. Smith, Lisa M. Smith; and two step-great-grandchildren: Davon C. Smith, Shalynn J. Smith. Preceding Eurayna in death was one sister, Lewania R. Fowler on March 3, 2003. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2007 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. Friends will be received one hour prior to the Memorial Service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to the family.
