Helen L. Reynolds, 90 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 in the Village of Heritage, Monroeville. She was born on Thursday, April 8, 1915 in Madison Township, Allen County, Indiana the daughter of the late Herman F. Franke and the late Iva M. (Bucher) Franke. She married Charles H. Reynolds on May 2, 1936 in St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock, of rural Monroeville, Indiana. They celebrated their 69th Wedding Anniversary this past May. Helen was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock, president of LWML of the church for two years and also president of the Decatur Circuit for two years. She served 30 years on the Allen County Library Board in Fort Wayne and was the Hoagland School Branch Librarian for three years. Helen was a homemaker and taught private piano and organ lessons for 45 years. Surviving are her husband, Charles H. Reynolds of Monroeville, Indiana, son, Robert C. Reynolds of Monroeville, Indiana, son, Neil S. (Madonna) Reynolds of Hoagland, Indiana, brother, Robert W. Franke of Fort Wayne, Indiana, brother, Ray F. Franke of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, brother, Roger H. Franke of Wolcottville, Indiana, five grandchildren, Clint Reynolds, Amanda Reynolds, Robert (Mindy) Reynolds Jr., Jill Reynolds & Valerie Reynolds, and one great-grandson, Austin Reynolds. Preceding Helen in death were one brother, Ralph W. Franke and one son, David A. Reynolds at age 5 in 1953. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2006 in the St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock with Rev. Douglas Christian officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Flatrock. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, March 3 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Preferred memorials are to St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock, Branching Out in Christ or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
