Sheila Rene Hoeppner, 41 years old of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 in the St. Francis Hospital located in Columbus. She was born on Wednesday, July 20, 1966 in Decatur, Indiana the daughter of Richard C. Rice and Marguerite G. (Mailand) Rice. Sheila was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Columbus, Georgia and employed by Columbus Travel Agency. Surviving are her daughter, Erin Hoeppner of Columbus, Georgia, son, Cody Hoeppner of Columbus, Georgia, parents, Richard & Marguerite Rice of Decatur, Indiana, sister, Cynthia (Ronnie) Holt of Decatur, Indiana, brother, Duane (Jeanne) Rice of Boca Raton, Florida, and sister, Janine Rice-Hicks of Decatur, Indiana. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008 in the McMullen Funeral Home, Columbus Georgia with Pastor Carl Peterson officiating. A memorial service will also be held at a later date in Decatur, Indiana with arrangments handled by Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur. Friends and family will be received for one hour prior to services on Saturday at McMullen Funeral Home. Preferred memorials are to donor's choice.
