Florence M. Sebesta, 84 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 in the Adams Memorial Hospital located in Decatur, Indiana. Florence was born on Friday, September 11, 1925 in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late Victor Hoffman and the late Pauline (Bieberich) Hoffman. She married the late Clarence Sebesta on October 14, 1950 and he passed away on June 24, 2000. Florence was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble; and former member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Florence was employed with Kraft Foods for 4 years. Subsequently, she worked very diligently as a loving mother and wife. Surviving are her son, Kenneth W. (Karen) Sebesta of Lake Zurich, Illinois; daughter, Cynthia L. Sebesta of Alta, Wyoming; brother, Gilbert O. (Florence) Hoffman of Hoagland, Indiana; brother, Irvin C. (Carolyn) Hoffman of Monroeville, Indiana; brother, Eugene K. Hoffman of Monmouth, Illinois three grandchildren: Keri Sebesta, Kevin Sebesta, and Alec (Sebesta) Jackson. Preceding Florence in death were one son, Randall K. Sebesta on July 11, 1995; and one sister, Marcella E. "Sally" Kukelhan. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2009 in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble with Rev. Daniel J. Brege officiating. Interment will follow in the St Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Preble. Friends will be received from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2009 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday. Preferred memorials are to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble; Worship For Shut-Ins; or the Nationial Ataxia Foundation.
