Helen D. Bultemeier, 79 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 12:04 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, 2007 in the Lutheran Hospital of Indiana located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Helen was born on January 24, 1928 in Allen County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Gerald Gallmeyer and the late Hulda (Doctor) Gallmeyer. She married the late Martin P. Bultemeier on November 23, 1947 in Zion Lutheran Church- Friedheim and he passed away on September 2, 1970. Helen was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Decatur, Indiana. She was a graduate of Ossian High School Class of 1947. Helen was a homemaker and had worked at Preble Gardens as a waitress for 16 years. Prior to working at Preble Gardens, she had worked at CTS in Berne, Indiana. Surviving are her son, Keith (Marilyn) Bultemeier of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Kathy (Ed) Kukelhan of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Connie (Dennis) Shady of Decatur, Indiana; son, Craig Bultemeier (Chum Hakes) of Decatur, Indiana; son, Brian (Deb) Bultemeier of Greenfield, Indiana; son, Daryll (Cheryl) Bultemeier of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 NOON on Thursday, June 14, 2007 in the Zion Lutheran Church, Decatur with Pastor Scott Bruick officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
