Kathryn L. Hunter, 79 years old of Berne, Indiana, and a former longtime resident of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2006 in the Swiss Village Retirement Center. She was born on Thursday, December 9, 1926 in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late Curtis M. Baxter and the late Clara Pauline (Reynolds) Baxter. She married Raymond E. Hunter on April 22, 1972 in Decatur, Indiana and he died on July 5, 1988. Kathryn retired from Decatur Speed Queen Fabric Care Center and had also worked at the Automatic Sprinkler Corporation. Surviving are her son, Jerry W. Hamrick of Decatur, Indiana, daughter, Mrs. John (Janet) Myers of Willshire, Ohio, granddaughter, Jennifer Cantu of Indianapolis, Indiana, and granddaughter, Mrs. Jeffrey (Nicole) Munden of Speedway, Indiana. Preceding Kathryn in death was one brother, Robert Baxter. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, with Pastor Ed Lovelace officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 25, 2006. Preferred memorials are to Arthritis Foundation.
