Helen M. Liebert, 86 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2007 in the Parkview Hospital North located in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, following and illness of six months. Helen was born on Saturday, April 2, 1921 in Wren, Ohio the daughter of the late Walter Fegley and the late Anna (Kirchenbauer) Fegley. She married James W. Gaskill, who is deceased and then married Lyle L. Liebert, who is deceased. Helen was a member of the Monroeville United Methodist Church; Monroeville American Legion Auxilliary Unit #420; and the Moose Lodge in Decatur, Indiana. Helen was homemaker, and former owner of Dixon Market in Dixon, Ohio from 1959 to 1980. Surviving are her son, Richard W. Gaskill of Green Valley, Arizona, daughter, Mrs. John (Mary Ann) Ecker of Churubusco, Indiana, son, Billy D. Gaskill of Dixon, Ohio, daughter, Sheri L. Gaskill of Monroeville, Indiana, brother, Glen Fegley of Decatur, Indiana, sister, Betty Egley of Decatur, Indiana, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceding Helen in death were one son, John E. Gaskill, who died in 1963; three brothers, Paul, Don, and Herb; one sister, Marie. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2007 in the Monroeville United Methodist Church with Rev. Denise Lapsley officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2007 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana and from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church on Wednesday. Preferred memorials are to Parkview Hospice or the Monroeville United Methodist Church.
