Lester W. Brickley Sr., 74 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at his residence. He was born on Tuesday, January 22, 1935 in Allen County, Indiana the son of the late Herbert Brickley and the late Gladys May (Rohrabaugh) Brickley. He married Kathryn Maxine Lough on March 25, 1977 in Decatur. Lester was employed by Sterling Casting in Bluffton, Indiana for thirty years and Decatur Casting for fourteen years. Surviving are his wife, Maxine Brickley of Decatur, seven daughters; Leslie K. Carper and Debbie (Stan) Fuller both of Decatur, Beckey Brickley, Alice Brickley, Ruth (Lenny) Waltz & Vickie Duke all of Fort Wayne, son, Lester W. (Aileen) Brickley Jr. of Bluffton, seven sisters; Janet Marshall of Fort Wayne, Alice Jacob and Dixie Osborn both of Ossian, Elizabeth "Lib" Haron of Montpelier, Beatrice Huffman of Goshen, Dorothy Gore of Keystone & Frieda Jackson of Monroeville, six brothers; Clarence Brickley of Craigville, Dean Brickley of Ossian, Bill, Jerry & Richard Brickley all of Bluffton & Chester Brickley of South Bend, thirteen grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Preceding Lester in death were two brothers, George & Bryce Brickley and one sister, Joan Night. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Lovelace officiating. Interment will follow in the Horeb Cemetery, Wells County, Indiana. Friends will be received from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday, April 14 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur. Preferred memorials are to the family.
