Frieda E. Meyer, 94, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, passed away at 5:05 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 in the Lutheran Home located in Fort Wayne where she had been a resident the last 16 years. Frieda was born on November 22, 1911 in Hoagland, Indiana, the daughter of the late William C. Wiegman and the late Caroline (Alfred) Wiegman. She married Henry L. Meyer on February 23, 1935 in the St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock in rural Monroeville, Indiana and he survives. Frieda was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock; Lutheran Hospital Auxillary; Lutheran Home Auxillary; former member of the Decatur Chapter of University Valparaiso Guild where she was a past president; former member of Holy Scripture Lutheran Church and the Word Society of the church. She was homemaker and a volunteer at Lutheran Home in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Surviving are her husband, Henry L. Meyer of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Mrs. Carl (Marianne) Krog of Marinette, Wisconsin; daughter, Karen Behm of Noblesville, Indiana; daughter, Arleen Williamson of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; son, H. John Meyer of Millbury, Ohio; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Frieda was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Lou Meyer; one sister, Marie; and brothers, Amos and Clarence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2006 in the Lutheran Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Olson and the Rev. Douglas Christian officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery Flatrock. Friends will be received from 12:30 p.m. to service time on Friday in the Lutheran Home Chapel located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to Lutheran Homes Chapel, St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock, or Worship for Shut-Ins.
