Jack Lee Heffner, 82 years old of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away at 3:55 a.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2012 in the Kindred Health Care Center & Rehabilitation located in Fort Wayne. Jack was born on Wednesday, October 2, 1929 in Muncie, Indiana the son of the late Eugene Perry Heffner and the late Edna Marie (Saffer) Heffner. Jack served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Jack was a member of the Kingdom Hall of the Jevovah's Witness; the Masonic Lodge; and former member of the V.F.W. Jack was the manager for the appliance department at L.S. Ayres for 20 years. Surviving are his daughter, Beth A. (James) Wagner of Greenfield, Indiana; son, John Heffner of Indianapolis, Indiana; son, Kenny (Mindy) Heffner of Fort Wayne, Indiana; sister, Penny K. (Richard) Ellenwood of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and six grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012 in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness South Central Congregation located at 6000 Abbott Street Fort Wayne, Indiana with Mr. Chuck Spohr officiating. Private burial will be in the Williamsport Cemetery, Poe, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to South Central Congregation or SPCA.
