Lewis L. "Boose" Painter, 58 years old of Willshire, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2011 in the Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center located in Van Wert, Ohio. He was born on Tuesday, April 7, 1953 in Decatur, Indiana the son of the late Charles L. Painter and Janette (Crites) Painter. He married Gayla J. Marbaugh on November 10, 1973. Boose graduated from Parkway High School in 1972. He retired as a superintendent from Weigand Construction on July 30, 2010 and he retired from Carpenter's Local 232 after thirty-five years. He attended New Hope Church in Decatur where he served on the administration team and was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Willshire, Ohio. Surviving are his wife, Gayla J. Painter of Willshire, son, Jade (Amanda) Painter of Willshire, son, Jordan (Jenelle) Painter of Decatur, daughter, Jamie (Troy) Temple of Ohio City, mother, Janette Painter of Willshire, sister, Sherry (Brad) Adler of Willshire, sister, Lisa K. (Jon) Caffee of Willshire, brother, John J. (Dixie) Painter of Fort Wayne, brother, Charles J. (Barbara) Painter of Celina, brother, Jeffrey M. Painter of Willshire, brother, Stuart R. (Michelle) Painter of Willshire, and six grandchildren; Jacob Lewis Painter, Griffin Lee Painter, Liberty Addison Temple, Dylan Lee Painter, Lyric Sage Temple & Brandt Lewis Painter. Preceding Lewis in death was one sister, Linda A. Ramey. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2011 in the New Hope Church with Pastor Kevin August officiating. Friends will be received from 1 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 20 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the church. Preferred memorials are to Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert, Ohio or New Hope Church.
