Dorathea E. Holle, 94, of Hoagland, Indiana passed away at 5:30 a.m. Friday in the Bluffton Regional Medical Center located in Bluffton, Indiana. Dorothy was born on January 22, 1913 in Adams County, Indiana to the late August Blomenberg and the late Rosa (Koeneman) Blomenberg. She married Hilbert F. Holle on September 20, 1935 and he passed away on October 18, 1984. She was a homemaker and had worked at Hosiery Mills in Fort Wayne, Indiana for several years. Since 1955, she was a secretary for Hoagland Schools and Heritage Jr. / Sr. High School retiring in 1977. Dorothy was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock where she was involved in the Altar Guild and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was also involved in the Hoagland Area Advancement Association and had been an avid bowler for over fifty years at the Decatur bowling alley. Survivors include her son, Ron D. Holle of New Haven, Indiana, daughter, Sandra K. Stults of Hoagland, Indiana, brother, Elfurt Blomenberg of Decatur, Indiana, nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Preceding Dorothy in death were two sisters, Helen Haydon and Lorine Busick and one brother, Herbert Blomenberg. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2008 in the St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock with Pastor Douglas Christian and Rev. Ralph Blomenberg officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Friends and family will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock-Windows of Opportunity, Hoagland Fire Department / EMS, Beth Ann Hoffman Scholarship Fund or the Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana - Berne.
