Grace E. "Betti" Walsdorf, 66 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2006 in the Adams Memorial Hospital located in Decatur. She was born on Wednesday, January 3, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of the late John Strey and the late LaVorna Belle (Grunden) Strey. She was married to Paul Michael Walsdorf Jr. and he passed away on August 3, 2001. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Decatur and a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Avilla, Indiana & Trinity Lutheran Church in Hobart, Indiana. She was retired teacher, having taught high school English at Central Noble High School. Surviving are her son, Paul (Sandy) Walsdorf III of Hobart, Indiana, son, John (Laurie) Walsdorf of Hobart, Indiana, son, Jeff (Jennifer) Walsdorf of Houston, Texas, daughter, Cynthia (Scott) Millington of Decatur, Indiana, and ten grandchildren; Amanda, Jennifer, Andrew, James, Meghan, & David Walsdorf and Grant, Mahima, Edin & Maria Millington. Preceding Grace in death was one son, Charles Walsdorf. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2006 in the Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Scott Bruick officiating. Interment will follow in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Avilla, Indiana. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 18 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur. Preferred memorials are to Zion Lutheran Church Forward in Faith.
