Jesse E. Wolfe, 59 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2009 in the Lutheran Hospital of Indiana located in Fort Wayne. He was born on Sunday, May 1, 1949 in Decatur, Indiana the son of Virgil and Anna L. (Miller) Wolfe. He married Louann M. Fuelling on August 11, 1969 in St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling. Jesse was a graduate of Parkway High School in Rockford, Ohio and attended Ivy Tech College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church-Fuelling. Jesse had been an inspector for the United States Department of Agriculture-APHIS and had previously been employed by Central Soya and ADM Nutrition Alliance. Surviving are his wife, Louann M. Wolfe of Decatur, son, Corey A. (Cheryl) Wolfe of Nicholasville, Kentucky, daughter, Jessica A. (John) Penrod of Pendleton, Indiana, two sisters; Linda (James 'Butch') Gilbert and Sue (James) Gilbert, both of Decatur, four grandsons; Spencer & Ethan Wolfe and Riley & Dillon Penrod, and a 5th grandchild, "Baby" Penrod, due in April of 2009. Preceding Jesse in death was one sister, Marilyn Peterson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009 in the St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling with Rev. Martin Moehring officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Fuelling. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 17 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Preferred memorials are to Adams County Community Foundation-Cancer Fund, St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling or Worship for Shut-Ins.
