Lawrence Earl Badders

Lawrence Earl Badders, 86 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2009 in Adams Memorial Hospital. He was born on Tuesday, July 18, 1922 in Chaffee, Missouri the son of Samuel Eli and Bertha (Wisner) Badders. He married Sadie Mae Myers on December 24, 1947 and she passed away on September 2, 1973. Lawrence served in the United States Navy during WWII in the Pacific. He retired in 1984 from White Farm Equipment, formerly known as Oliver Farm Equipment, with 37 years of service in production. Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Monty (Janice) Miller of Decatur, son, Tim (Becki) Badders of South Bend, Indiana, sister, Ruby Parker of Ashland, Missouri, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceding Lawrence in death were three brothers; Samuel, Loren & George Badders and one sister, Lora Mae Badders. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009 in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee, Missouri. Interment will follow in the Williams Memorial Cemetery in Perkins, Missouri. Friends will be received from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18 in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee. Preferred memorials are to American Lung Association and may be made locally through Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur.
