Dr. Harold G. Foss, 84 years old of Decatur, Indiana, and formerly of Berne, Indiana passed away on Friday, September 26, 2008 in Woodcrest Nursing Center. He was born on Tuesday, May 6, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois the son of the late Harold Foss and the late Adele (Dearhammer) Foss. He married Annaliese Von Eyser on March 22, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois. Harold graduated from St. Mels High School in Chicago, Illinois and served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a graduate of Loyola University School of Medicine in 1951. Harold was a board certified obstetrical & gynecological surgeon for 41 years in Troy, Ohio, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, The American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, Cook County Hospital Interns & Residents Alumni Association, The Ohio State Medical Association and the J.E. Fitzgerald Gyne Society. He held licenses in Illinois, Florida and Ohio. Survivors include his wife, Annaliese Foss of Berne, Indiana, daughter, Annaliese (Gregory G.) Schamerloh of Decatur, Indiana, son, William H. (Dianne) Foss, of Colorado, grandson, Gregory D. (Debbie) Bailey of Evansville, Indiana, granddaughter, Annaliese J. (Joel) Redondo, of Kansas, twin grandson, Chad (Shawnna)Bailey of Berne, Indiana, twin grandson, Dane (Ashley) Bailey, of Indiana, grandson, Jeffery Foss, of Colorado, granddaughter, Kristin Foss, of Colorado and seven great-grandchildren. Preceding Harold in death was one brother, William Foss. Preferred memorials are to Adams County Animal Shelter or Woodcrest Nursing Center.
