Naomi Shanebeck, 101 years old of Woodburn, Indiana, passed away at 2:10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 in the Paulding County Hospital located in Paulding, Ohio. Naomi was born on Monday, February 4, 1907 in Woodburn, Indiana the daughter of the late Daniel Shanebeck and the late Mary (Mosser) Shanebeck. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her niece, Dorothy (Gerald) Germann, niece, Betty (Don) Sprunger, niece, Melva Spangler, nephew, Don (Edyth) Shanebeck, niece, June (Wayne) Wyss, niece, Nova Hoffman, niece, Loretta (Ted) Unsicker, nephew, Herbert (Jocelyn) Shanebeck, niece, Lenore (Wayne) Dancer, niece, Eleanor (Harold) Zook, and nephew, Bill (Diane) Shanebeck. Preceding Naomi in death were four brothers: Ezra, Clarence, Safara, and Henry Shanebeck; and three sisters, Selma Wetter, Emma Shanebeck, and Dorothy Shanebeck. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 2, 2008 in the Westwood Fellowship Evangelical Mennonite Church in Woodburn, Indiana with the Rev. Earl Cecil officiating. Interment will follow in the Evangelical Mennonite Church Cemetery in Woodburn, Indiana. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Preferred memorials are to Westwood Fellowship Church in Woodburn, Indiana.
